The Nokia 6700 Slide is an attractive feature phone with a pleasant metallic design and compact sliding numeric keypad. It boasts a decent specification and is compact enough to fit in any pocket or bag. The 2.2 inch screen is bright and clear with a resolution of 320x240 producing crisp and readable text.
Although the Nokia 6700 Slide is a feature phone, it does pack 3G HSDPA connectivity and a powerful 5 megapixel camera. There is a nifty ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the screens brightness to save power and the handset comes with a 2GB microSD card that can be increased to 16GB if you need more space for music or photos. One point to be aware of is the 2.5mm headphone jack, which will need an adaptor if you want to use your regular 3.5mm headphones.
The Nokia 6700 Slide runs the Symbian S40 operating system, and comes with a dedicated Facebook application that does a good job for most tasks. There is access to the Nokia Ovi store, where more games and applications are available for download, and the included web browser works well, although navigation using the D-pad can be slow at times. The Nokia 6700 Slide has good email and messaging functionality and the standard numeric keypad means experienced owners will be able to type out messages pretty quickly.
